Introduction

At Ametrine Law (“Ametrine Law” or “We”), we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains what information we may collect from and about you and what we do with that information.

This Policy applies to information we collect when you access or use our website, www.ametrinelaw.com (our “Website“). Information we collect as part of our legal representation is treated in accordance with the rules surrounding attorney-client privilege and will be discussed with you at the start of our engagement.

Please read this Policy carefully. If you do not agree with our policies and practices regarding our Website, your choice is not to use our Website. By accessing or using this Website, you agree to this Policy. This Policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy). Your continued use of this Website after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the Policy periodically for updates.

This Policy provides information concerning our collection and use of your “personal information” which is defined as information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with a particular consumer or household. This Website does not collect sensitive personal information, which is defined as government identifiers (like Social Security Number or passport numbers), account credentials, precise geolocation, racial/ethnic origin, religious/philosophical beliefs, union membership, contents of personal communications, genetic data, biometric data, health information, and information about a consumer’s sex life or sexual orientation. We do not engage in profiling or targeted advertising.

Under the Age of 19

Our Website is not intended for anyone under 19 years of age. If you are under 19, do not submit any information to us via the Website.  We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 19, and if we learn we have collected or received personal information about someone under 19, without verifiable parental or guardian consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have collected information from or about someone under 19 through our Website, please contact us at privacy@ametrinelaw.com.

U.S. Residents

This Website is intended for and targeted towards United States residents. If you are not a U.S. resident and you use the Website or submit a contact request through the Website, the information in your contact request will be treated in accordance with this Policy, but it might not provide the same level of protection available in your home country. If you are not a U.S. resident, you may contact us be phone or email for a legal engagement.

Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It

We’ll make this easy. Unless you submit a contact request to us or opt to use the “Make A Payment” link on the Website, we do not collect any information from you as a result of you using the Website.

If you submit a contact request, we receive only the information that you place in the inquiry. That information will likely include your name and email address and may contain other contact information if you provide it. Sending us a contact request does not establish an attorney-client relationship, so we ask that you do not submit any confidential or sensitive information using this form.  We will be happy to discuss that with you when we connect.

Our payment processing is handled by a third party. Our contract with our payment processor requires them to treat the information used to process your payment as confidential, subject to applicable laws and regulations. Their privacy policy is accessible once you select the “Pay an Invoice” link, and we recommend you review their policy. When you make a payment using their service, we receive your name and the details necessary for us to record your payment.

Currently, we do not auto collect any personally identifiable information from users of our Website. We do track the number of users who visit our Website, the pages of the Website that are accessed, and when they are accessed, but we do not associate that information with any data to make it personally identifiable.

Cookies

Except for functional cookies, our Website does not currently use any cookies, beacons or tracking mechanisms. You may choose to adjust your browser settings or mobile device settings to refuse cookies, but if you do, certain features of our Website may not function as intended.

How We Use Your Information

We use information that we collect through our contact forms solely to respond to your inquiry, and if you engage us for legal services, to provide those legal services.

Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell or share information collected through the Website with third parties, other than sharing information:

  • with the payment processor if you choose to make a payment through the Website.
  • to comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.
  • to enforce or apply our rights and agreements, including for billing and collection purposes.
  • if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ametrine Law, our customers, or others.

Categories of Information

Because we only collect information you share through a contact form, the only information we may collect or share about you is your name, address, email address, phone number, and any comments you provide in the contact field. If you use the payment feature, you will provide payment information directly to the payment processor. The information you submit to the payment processor is subject to the payment processor’s separate privacy policy.

Your Rights Regarding Your Information

Right to Know/Access/Data Portability: Once every 12 months, you may email us at privacy@ametrinelaw.com and ask us to provide you with a list of the personal information we have collected about you. If you request, we will also provide you with a copy of that information in a format that you can reasonably transfer to a third party.

Right to Correct or Rectify:  At any time, you may email us at privacy@ametrinelaw.com to let us know information we have collected about you needs to be corrected. Provided we can verify your identity as the requesting party, and we have no reason to believe the change will violate applicable law or make the information incorrect, we will make the necessary change in our records.

Right to Delete:  You may email us at privacy@ametrinelaw.com if you would like us to delete information we have about you. Provided that none of the legal exceptions for deleting such information apply and that we can verify your identity as the requesting party, we will delete such information. We may deny your request to delete if your information is needed to fulfill a contract between you and us, or for another valid reason recognized by applicable law.

The date this Policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. You are responsible for periodically visiting our Website and this Policy to check for any changes.
